Core Yoga with Trish

This class will be very much like that of a Multi-Level Vinyasa class as it will include sun salutations, strength building postures, standing postures, balancing postures, and stretches. It will, however, emphasize building strength in the core.

The National Academy of Sports Medicine defines the core as: The “Cervical Spine, thoracic Spine and the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex.”
Essentially the core consists of everything within your center of gravity, all areas of your abdominals, your back, your glutes, and beyond. Exercising these muscles means to exercise an area that is part of your core musculature. You may find yourself in bridge, plank, boat, dolphin, dolphin plank…the list of poses can go on and on. The focus will be to build a strong core; wisely and effectively.
